This Friday, 14/01 at 21.30h, a first dialogue between two great values of the diaspora will take place in the Beursschouwburg! Nfaly Kouyaté (Guinea – Konakry) and Fabrizio Cassol (Italy) both reside in Brussels from where they travel troughout the world. One with Aka Moon and ‘les Ballets C de la B, the other one with Afro Celt Sound System or his band Dunyakan. And solo, as a guest or initiator of many different projects. In the diaspora series they alternate fragile duo’s with new interpretations of Dunyakan songs.

Female salsa and son bands are quite common in Cuba… and from now on also in Belgium! Zulema Hechavarria Blanco (you have seen her before playing the percussions in Brassafrik) gathered 12 female musicians with roots in Havana, Cologne, Antwerp, Rotterdam & Brussels, to prepare some spicy salsa. The result: an immaculate horn section, percussionistas with killing grooves and dancing vocalists. This is not just your average party, this is the opening of a new diaspora concert series! Azucar!
