Are you a talented young saxophone player eager to participate in an extraordinary European project? Get registered now for one of the auditions for the European Saxophone Ensemble! How? Why? Because the European Saxophone Ensemble is once again the cultural ambassador of the European Union for 2011! The ensemble gathers 12 excellent saxophone players coming from 12 different European countries. All saxophone types are represented, from sopranino to bass.

The new repertoire will be written by 5 European composers : Fred Vanhove (Belgium), Tonu Korvits (Estonia), Sanne Van Hek (The Netherlands), Gyula Fekete (Hungary) and Massimo Botter (Italy). In the month of June the auditions and masterclasses will be organised, in September the rehearsals with the selected musicians will take place and ESE will start its EU tour at the end of this year. The ESE team for 2011 consists of Patrick De Clerck (curator), Cezariusz Gadzina (conductor) and Katrien Feyaerts (coordination & tour management).
