The concerts planned for the Fanfakids together with the Ghanese percussion and dance group Twerammpon Traditionals will unfortunately take place without the Ghanese kids. Because of a last minute refusal of their visa, they were not able to travel to Brussels. This was a huge deception for the Fanfakids, the families that would host them, the collaborators of Centrum West and MET-X and everybody who looked forward to their arrival. Last summer, Marockin’ Brass was in a similar situation when the visa of 3 percussionist of Casablanca were denied.

In the first week of the Eastern Holidays, the Fanfakids travelled to Italy to collaborate in different artistic and social programs. It was a very intensive week with a lot of interesting activities. The kids worked together with a local music school, were honourable guests at the Cirenaica Carnaval in Bologna and they were hosted by Italian families. Of course, there was also spare time to take a rest and to relax...

On 20 and 21 March Klara and 'Het paleis' organise a big music party for kids and their families and therefore they invite the Fanfakids! Together with Pieter Embrechts (actor and musician), Sam Vloemans (trumpet player and composer) and the audience, the Fanfakids will make a special song everybody can sing along with and dance to! We are sure that this song will stick into the minds of all people present that day!

Rehearsals are planned at 'Centrum West' every week starting from Septembre. The rehearsals for beginners take place every Wednesday from 14u00 till 15u00 and will be followed up by the older Fanfakids. The rehearsals of the Fanfakids take place every Monday from 17u00 till 18u30.
