Last Saturday the tour of Brassafrik and the Ghanaian guest musicians ended with a spectacular concert at the Music Meeting festival in Nijmegen. The entire tour was a great success, despite the absence of Babs Jobo, percussionist and fellow-composer of Brassafrik.

While King Ayisoba will make Europe unsafe for a few more weeks with a tour of his own Joseph and Moses are heading back to their homeland. The inclement Belgian weather is the only thing that they are not going to miss.

MiXiT, the new series of events organised by MET-X and Mâäk, is the place to be to discover new musical projects, participate yourself, or just step by for some chilling atmosphere and meet new people. The next MiXiT coincides with the Jazz Marathon and has been taken into its program so... more than worth the effort to plan your musical route this way! Between 14h and 17h there will be a workshop of hip hop dance and improvisation with Yiphun Chiem and Sarah Ludi followed by a barbeque. After that , there will be two concerts of 3Bs (19.30h) and Mâäk Electro (20.30h).

The kick-off concert of Brassafrik- The Ghana Connections tour is approaching! On the 5th of May this Afro-Belgian band will start their tour by giving a first concert at Jazz Sous Les Pommiers. Brassafrik will be assisted during their concert series by three Ghanaian guests: King Ayisoba, Joseph Darko and Moses Batintora (Wind Afrique). Throughout the month of may they will be performing a series of concerts in Belgium and abroad. Don’t miss these concerts! Here are the dates:

This spring MET-X organizes some exceptional masterclasses & workshops, open to everyone. A resume:

-Jean Gnonlonfoun is preparing a new project with percussion, vocals and dance from Benin. That is why open workshops will take place on 16 April (19-21h) and 15 june (14-17h). Afterwards, the repertoire will be fine-tuned during an intensive summer training (15-18 July, from 11 to 16h).
