Laurent Blondiau and Zouratié Koné create a new MetX ensemble
MetX is setting up a new multidisciplinary ensemble. Not just a brass band, but a kind of laboratory where you can experiment and learn as an (amateur) artist. Trumpet player and composer Laurent Blondiau provide the artistic framework, together with percussionist Zouratié Koné. Want to join the project?
We are not just launching a new band. No, it will be a laboratory where you can experiment and learn as an artist, under the direction of professional artists. MetX musician Laurent Blondiau (MikMâäk, Mâäk Kojo, …) and master percussionist Zouratié Koné (Afrikän Protoköl, …) are currently defining the first artistic lines. They will supervise the first rehearsals and concerts. Then, as the collective develops, other artistic coordinators can also join.
All creative people, whatever their level or experience on stage, who want to create original music, surprising performances and have fun! Participation is free, in return we only ask you for your enthusiasm and commitment.
The collective has been working on a number of grooves and ideas during open rehearsals in May and June. After the summer, the musicians will further develop the repertoire and rehearsals will take place on a regular base.
Send Doris Razafimbelo an e-mail with your name, phone number and the instrument(s) you are playing.
