BSN Brass, Bolo & B-Boy Battle for Brussel Helpt - 28/11/2021
Helping young people in Brussels with spaghetti and an evening out? That’s what we did during our BSN Brass, Bolo & B-Boy Battle on Saturday 27/11. On the menu: an original mix of dance, music, (wrestling) sports and spaghetti with the partners of Brede School Nieuwland, for the benefit of Brussel Helpt.
Brussel Helpt is a large-scale Spaghetti Fest, organised by BRUZZ. This year, the solidarity action raised a total amount of €30.082 in aid of vzw Nakama, an enthusiastic and ambitious youth collective that supports children and young people from the most vulnerable neighbourhoods of Brussels.
Why at Brede School Nieuwland (BSN)?
As partners of Brede School Nieuwland, we joined forces for a unique variety show that spoiled eyes, ears and taste buds. We are: MetX, Brussels Young Wrestling Style (BYWS), Urban Center Brussel (UCB), the VGC Sports Service and the coordination of Brede School Nieuwland. Together we did not only make delicious halal and veggie spaghetti. We also spiced it up with dance, music and spectacular wrestling moves. All served on a big boxing ring in the middle of the dining room, by a.o. BRUiTAL, Laurent Blondiau + Bakanaï, the Fanfakids feat. UCB breakers and Nsimba Bafuka + wrestling heroes.
Why eat spaghetti?
With the benefit of the spaghetti sale, we support the youth of Nakama in expanding their operations. The more spaghetti eaten, the more we help them. Finally some 100 people came for spaghetti and stayed for the variety show!
